Hi, I have an XPS M1330 with a cracked screen. The M1330 was shipped with the LED backlit LCD and after seeing the price for a replacement, I am tempted to go with the CCFL. My question is, will putting a CCFL LCD into my computer be a direct swap? If not, what other parts will I need? I am aware that the lid will need to be changed. Is there any thing else? Thanks.

You'll have to swap the entire lid assembly. The CCFL backlit screen is thicker than the LED backlit screen, so you'll have to order the corresponding lid.. That's all.. Also, one antenna wire might have to be removed..

If you go for the standard screen you'll have to get the front bezel and lid with all cable wiring.
No wires need be removed from the antenna side of things the standard screen comes with all antenna wire where as the led backlit has one less.

Because the LED one is about $200 more than a CCFL.

    Aha, so no more guarantee?

    Then go for the ccfl.
