    M1330 Mic Problem

    My mic barely records and I need to shout at it for it to record. Does anyone else have this problem or have a resolution for it?

    I currently use Sound Recorder to record my lectures but i doubt that is the issue snce I know others who use it where it works perfectly

    I think a few people were having this issue with the first run of m1330 during the summer (page 1-150 in the owner's lounge?) too but i don't remember anyone finding (or stating) a solution

    If anyone has a solution (or can link me to one) it waould be really appreciated

    A fix that seems to work for the m1330 mic problem is to install the Inspiron 1720 version of the sigmatel driver. I used this driver and it solved my low mic volume issue. You can use this link to download it. http://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/R157031.EXE.

    I just updated using the latest drivers for the M1330 from the Dell site and the problem was solved, but YMMV.

    Hi Nitrium,

    Can you please tell the site from which u installed the latest driver version for M1330?

    I am getting a distorted voice during recording in my newly purchased M1330. Its so frustating.
