    M1330 New DVD driver

    Ok new from October..it was on the Dell site under 64 bit


    So i decided to get all the new drivers


    OMG this new one is noisy at start up..it makes the usual eh he and then a eeeeehhhhhhh

    :(

    Anyone else had that issue?


    EDIT: supposed to "HLDS GSA-S10N Eject capability improvements"

    idk what driver i have...
    But ejecting and putting it in makes the

    EHHEHH UHHHHHHHHHH

    Yes I posted this further back and installed it. It made it really loud so I downgraded right down to the original un-noisy A00/A01

    so i found an old one... idk if it was a correct one or waht ever... and it said it couldnt find the drive...
    so i tried the new one and it sai the same thing :/

    so idk now...

    Are you talking about the insert/eject sound of the drive? I don’t think DELL ever fixed that. Besides, It is a mechanical sound, and I don’t it can be fixed with a BIOS/firmware or software update. However there was a BIOS update to fix the computer from freezing while disks were inserted/ejected, but that had nothing to do with the sound it makes.

    Hey, I'm trying to downgrade back to the version that isn't incredibly annoying (and not good for stealthly turning on your computer while in class). Anyway, I downloaded the R166212.exe but when i try to run S10NA101-00 it gives me "An invalid argument has occured" Any ideas?
