So my sisters m1330 isnt able to take in any dvds. I tried to update the drivers but that didnt help. Whenever I pressed the eject button it was making a noise. I wasnt sure if anything was inside so I googled around and found that some recommended to press F2 to go to bios, then press the eject button. Tried that but nothing came out.

I have tried to insert a disc but its just wont go in all the way. Any suggestions on what I can try next?

def sounds like something on the hardware side of things. Is it still under warranty?

Unfortunately its out of warranty by 6 months. I wouldnt mind paying up to $30 for a spare drive from a pulled system, but looking around ebay it seems they go for around 60-80.

looks like youll either have to buy a drive or get creative. if you have the faulty GPU from dell youd still be under their special 1 year extended warranty. thatd be shady tho
