    Dell forum,

I'm trying to do a fresh install on my Dell XPS M1330 because
it has a new hard drive(ssd). I'm using a bootable flash drive
and when windows 7 starts to install it always asks for a driver
for the DVD. I think the DVD in this unit uses firmware not
a dedicated driver. Also I have been having problems with the
    DVD for some time.
    Any suggestions?

    Jerryd

Sounds like the USB drive is emulating a DVD, what method did you use to create the bootable flash drive?
