On my m1330 (and i've had this on several of them thinking about it)- the wireless keeps dropping out for a few seconds every so often!

The internet status will switch to limited connectivity and then drop the connection completely and then about 5 seconds later connect again.

How can I fix this??

Put the computer right next to the router. Does it have the same problem?

This is with it right next to the router! I've tried changing my router from 108mbps to just g, and the wifi card in the m1330 to just b/g (as opposed to a/b/g that it defaults to), but it's still dropping every so often- albeit a bit better!

Nah i dont think its the router. Go in the device manager and uninstall the card then reboot and reinstall it.

I think I am at the latest drivers- windows update is not prompting for any and cannot find a later version online...

My router works fine with other laptops but this is the only one with a wireless n card so maybe it's something to do with that.

Do you have blue tooth enabled. Some have claimed disabling the blue tooth device will help. It worked for me.

i have that same intel n card and i only have a g router. my n card using the g connection is fast as frickin hell and i never had any problems. the router is a linksys wrt54gs, the same one a lot of ppl have. i don't have bluetooth.

i'm not sure if the windows update will prompt for u to update the intel wireless card router, try doing it manually and/or disabling the bluetooth like darkazally said.

Open up the Wifi card slot then check if the antenna wires are properly connected.

What antenna wires should be connected? There was a lot of debate about whether 3 should be connected for the wireless n protocol, but in most cases only 2 are connected (with the 3rd being too short to reach the terminal).

I had the same issue. After several driver installs I swapped for the Dell wireless-N 1505 card and all is good now.

Dell do not offer the dell wireless card anymore do they? The only one they seem to offer on the site is the Intel card.

I'd also try a firmware upgrade on your router. You'd be surprised at how many problems that can fix. If I were you in your current position though, uninstall the device from device manager, use your wired connection to the router, remove the Intel drivers from your computer, and reinstall.

Have you installed the A10 BIOS?
Dell site lists the following improvements:

    1. Improve compatibility with Dell Wireless 1390 & 1490 Dell WLAN.
    2. Improve system performance on Resume from S3 with Driver Verifier enabled.
    3. Added enhancement for optical drives.

If you have am LED backlit display - there are only two WiFi antennas.
The blue one is for wireless USB.
