Hello to All, XP Pro SP3
Like most I've replaced the motherboard once for the bad video chip. I've used Nero and Roxio to write files from my desktop to the DVD disk.
The error after the hour long write process is "Unable to open ####.zip" for all of the files.

Yet placing the disk after burning it "shows" all the files, but you cannot open them.
I've tried this four times with two different type DVD disks.

Does anyone have a similar experience.
P.S. I have the latest firmware and have deleted the cd/dvd rom in Device Manager then rebooted and the device was found and reinstalled.
Burned again in Nero and an hour later same errors.

i had a similar problem with my internal dvd burner, it would just lag so badly when playing movies, and my computer would crash when burning DVDs, i called dell, and had mine replaced for a TEAC drive, and now it works flawlessly, and its much less noisy than the first one ( think it was toshiba )

I just did some burn tests and the internal drive will not burn CD's or DVD's.
It will copy CD data and DVD data to hard drive.
It takes well over 30 minutes to copy a 4gb movie to hard drive AND grabs over 50% of the resources.
I will have to replace mine for sure.
    Thanks for your help.
    Blessings,
    Chetanji
