Also happens with the 1530. I'm on my second, first had a Teac drive, 2nd the Panasonic, and both do it. Newest BIOS on both.

I don't think my m1330 did it when I bought it from Dell, but I'm noticing it now.
It happens as soon as you click Eject and freezes until the disk ejects.
Sometimes the disk doesn't eject and it just stays frozen. Very frustrating when that happens.
Any word on if updating the Firmware from Dell resolves the issue? And how to do it? -
I have BIOS A09 and when I eject the disc, my system also stops responding for a second or two.
The M133O is a nice piece of engineering, but this flaw does disappoint me; I hope Delll fixes it soon. -
I have tirelessly searched through forums and have tried everying suggested by other users. Some of which seemed to resolve the issued for others . One major solution was disabling the (a) band on your wireless. None of these have worked for me. I have talked to Dell tech support. Dell is sending a tech to replace my motherboard and speakers. I laughed after about the speakers. (we all know its not the freakin speakers). Anyways. I will let everyone know my results after the tech replaces my motherboard.
Also
Some are saying they think its the slot load drive. I highly doubt its the mechanical issue with the drive since you can eject in My Computer by right clicking and not get the stuttering or freezing up. That only leaves ****ty drivers. Couldnt they just map whatever windows uses to the Dell button?? How effin hard could that be?? -
Hello.
I work at Dell and wanted to respond to this thread.
Thank you to everyone at Notebook Review and all here who may have posted about this issue on the Dell Forums. We have a few threads with the same issue as well.
We are aware of this issue and have currently determined root cause. The issue will be resolved with BIOS release A10 for the M1330. For the 1530, I believe the new rev will be A09.
I am not sure when the 1530 BIOS will be web posted, but the 1330 should go live soon. As soon as we have a firm release date, I will post back. You can also watch the downloads page for the new rev's to be released.

If you have the same symptoms as that thread, I'm going to wager your AC adapter is a Flextronics rev A00. -
As it was promised A10 Bios version corrected topic problem ! Thank you !
-
Cool.
Nexas, how easy is it to update the bios?
If I'm not experiencing the dvd eject issue, do you think I should still update to A10? I'm currently using bios A09, which came with my laptop.
Thanks! -
1. Improve compatibility with Dell Wireless 1390 & 1490 Dell WLAN.
2. Improve system performance on Resume from S3 with Driver Verifier enabled.
3. Added enhancement for optical drives.
The BIOS update process is very simple: just download bios update from dell.com and lauch itYou will need to reboot your system and when you will see blue DELL logo on your display the bios will be successfully updated
Good Luck! -
Hi again, everyone.
I have a Direct2Dell post on this topic. No need to jump over there unless you want to. The post doesn't say anything everyone here doesn't already know, except that we have a BIOS release coming for the 1530 in the June block release that will take care of the issue.
Thanks to nexas for starting this thread, and thanks to our good friends at NotebookReview for an outstanding site. -
Hello.
Just checking to see if the update for the M1530 is still slated for June.
Thanks! -
dunno if you guys noticed but newest bios a09 for m1530 solves 2 seconds eject button freeze. it's not documented in bios release notes however...

glad this has been fixed -
You loaded the A09 bios onto your M1330? XD
I've never had such a problem with my M1530 before, probably requires a reflash of the bios since it might not be complete or something. -
no man, whats wrong with you lol
i have m1530, just posting here seeing both m1530 and m1330 owners posted in this thread waiting for the fix... -
Okie. Didn't read the whole thread, just the title being M1330. Sorry about that.
-
Just found this thread, my Studio 1535 has the same issue occasionally. Hit the eject button, the machine hangs. Holding the power button till it turns off is the only thing it will respond to.
-
PepperdotNet, I don't think you have the same problem as those of the people in this thread. The m13/1530s would hang only until the disk is ejected then the computer would function fine. The A09 BIOS update has already fixed this problem for the m1530.
-
And A10 BIOS version for M1330 ;-)
-
I've tried A00(if it exist) to A15, none of them fix my problem. Even switch my drive to LG-Philips(more noise when reading). same issue.
