I plan on using this laptop for watching movies, doing standard business apps, possibly some light graphics design.

Is the upgrade from the on board intel based GPU to the nvidia based GPU worth it?

I was planning on going LED screen and very small battery for portability and weight.

Will the on board GPU really slow me down?

If you plan on doing any gaming or 3d work such as CADD, you don't need a dedicated GPU. The Intel will serve you fine and save you some money.

The LED screen is a very wise choice. The on board GPU will be the weakest thing in your configuration yes, but it will not slow you down if all you are doing is business apps and light graphics design.

I think Forte meant if you dont plan on doing any gaming, the intel integrated graphics will be sufficient.

    Yeah, hence:

Intel refers to the Intel Integrated Graphics.

Those tasks will be handled fine with the integrated card. The LED screen is a good choice too.

He was just pointing out that in your original post you said that if you were going to do gaming or 3d work you don't need a dedicated GPU. But you actually do need one if you were to do gaming or 3d work. And the Intel video will not be fine for gaming and 3d work.

Yeah but if you read your original post you said that if he did play games or use CAD then he would not need a dedicated card. :D its ok, small slip up
