So I have the motherboard with Intel graphics. It shorted a few days ago (where I plugged the AC adapter in and it shut down and the light on the AC adapter turned off) and I just ordered another motherboard. Still, I want to attempt to repair it myself so I can sell the new motherboard to recoup some of the costs. It seems some people have repaired shorted motherboards. Anyone know how to do that? If it's just a matter of replacing a part on the motherboard, I think I can do that, assuming I can get the part.
By the way, my warranty expired already.

The hardest part is finding where the failure on the motherboard is. Even then motherboards are not terribly easy things to fix it usually involves soldering and a fair amount of skill.
In other words, give it up unless it's an apparent, easy fix (which chances are, it's not). -
I don't think giving up is the best move. I have a replacement motherboard on the way so I will have a working motherboard whether I repair it or not. Also, I'm not afraid of soldering. I just wanted ideas on how to repair the old one.

Far all you know it may well be something other than the mobo.
Check
1.Mains charger.
2.Power stage board.
3.Mother board. -
Simply being blunt, for you to be in here asking how & what means you are
already in over your head.
Sure there is nothing wrong with turning it into a project of sorts.
M1330 motherboard short; can repair it myself?
