    M1330 no sound problem

    Hey gus im having problems with my m1330 as my sound is not working ive tried many things like rolling back the driver and updating it but still no sound. ive also tried restoring the computer but still no sound. the speaker icon has a red X on it and when i open the volume mixer it says thers no audio device installed. If anyone can help it will be much apprciated. :confused:

    This might seem obvious, but right-click on the sound icon and hit "playback devices". Then right-click in the list and make sure display disabled devices (or something like that) is checked. If your sound card is there right-click it and hit enable. All done. While you're at it, go to the Recording tab and disable all of the recording devices. This will prevent skipping.

    thanks for the help i appriciate it.ive tried it but still nothing :( i think its my sound card and its not responding at all. i might go to a pc store and get a check up on it.

    Try removing the device in device manager and restarting Windows. It might help.

    I don't believe it's the hardware, I think it's Windows. A sound card as simple as this one couldn't possibly break.

    BTW: I haven't used Vista that much, so I don't know how much I'll be able to help.
