i know i've asked this before, but i didn't get much of a response. what is the cheapest and easiest way to get my 1330 to display picture on a standard definition tv (using s-video)? send me a link to a good product if you know one.

    thanks

    I haven't tried one, no.

Who informed you that it doesn't work and you would need a powered converter?

This doesn't work w/ the M1330. I bought a cheap one off of ebay too ($4). :p Luckily, I have a newer TV that has both VGA & HDMI inputs, so it wasn't too much of a big deal to me. I wanted to test the composite and s-video anyhow, for when I visit my parents' house, and I'm sad to say that it gives a non-color and completely distorted/scrambled image. It's hard to describe, but basically, it's not even viewable. I tried both the composite and s-video--got the same result, even with 2 different cables for each.

I'm sure if you shelled out a lot more money for a sophisticated converter (I've seen some that are about US$60~$80), then it probably will work, but considering what I already have with my current TV, it's pointless for me.

    Hope this helps...
