    M1330 screen

    I noticed that when the computer is on, the screen has this black border going around the entire screen. Is this normal? Here are the pictures I took:

    You mean a thin black line that is less than a millimeter in width? That is the only normal "border" you see when maximizing a window.

    The lines on the sides look normal. The only difference is that your line across the top is a bit thicker than mine. When you maximize a window, does the top black bar cover any of the top of the window (the icon on the top left and the close buttons on the top right)? I do believe that different screen manufacturers do have difference size black borders.
