I pat on all my electronic devices when they whine. They all seem to stop whining after a series of good pats.

There have been several cases where the whine has faded away with use...

Neil depending on what state and load the cpu is in, it will cause the "Whine to lessen or intensify. Try downloading RMClock and forcing your notebook to run at a 7 multiplier rather than a 6 at idle and watch your whine lessen.
