Hi just wondering whether 4GB of RAM is even going to be utilized for Vista 32 bit- Home premium.
I just purchased an M1330 - which Dell upgraded for from 2GB to 4GB of ram, however still kept the Vista Home Premium as stock on it. So now i think to myself was the 4GB RAM even practical, with the exception that i don't really use high ram using apps.????

what do you mean dell upgraded? for free? if so...who cares if its practical XD

it definitely increases the "future proofness" of your notebook.

3-3.5 GB will likely be used.

Vista has a feature that allows it to fill the RAM up with programs you use frequently, so the more RAM you have the more will be preloaded, and the faster the overall system speed will be - So more does help, even if you aren't running especially intensive apps.
