Hi,
I've replaced the speakers on my M1330 following this video: Dell XPS M1330 | Speaker Replacement | How-To-Tutorial - YouTube .
Unfortunately, after I reassembled the laptop it won't turn on anymore. I've tried to power it with the battery, without the battery, with the adapter, without the adapter - Nothing helps. I've also tried to press the power button for 10 seconds and then to try and power it, but it didn't help.
I read here that it may be a motherboard issue, but most of the people who reported this problem, reported that the light on their AC adapter got turned off when they plugged it into the laptop. However, the light on my adapter stays on when I plug it in.
Does anyone have a clue what may cause this?
Thank you very much.

Wow, nice video. Concise teardown and reassembly instructions, wish I had looked for something like that for my L702x. The one criticism I have is that he showed reinstalling the CPU with the old heat transfer compound still on it, and didn't use new compound when installing the heat sink.
I'm no expert, but I know you that whenever you break contact between a CPU and its heatsink, you should completely remove the old compound from both surfaces and apply new compound using the manufacturer's instructions or instructions you can find at this forum or elsewhere on the web.
If it never even flickered when you first tried powering it on, it could be the power button circuit board cable and power button cover cable. If these are not connected all the way, pushing the power button wouldn't do anything.
If it came on for second then died, it may be that there was some kind of short and something fried when the power first came on.
If this was mine, I'd disassemble to the point of checking those cables and, while the CPU and heatsink were removed, clean off the old compound, first scraping off as much as possible with something plastic, like a credit card, then with alcohol and a non-abrasive cloth. Then I's reassemble using new compound. A lot of folks have a favorite compound they use to get every last degree of cooling, I see Arctic Silver mentioned a lot. Really, compared to the way it was shown in the video, and good compound will do.
Good luck. Let us know how it turns out.
