I need a little help here. I have another of many problems with this Dell M1330.
    I have a M1330 running on Vista 32-BIT.
Recentley i had problems with starting up on Windows, as it will freeze on the green bar
After hours of researching i found the problem. If i DISABLE the Media Card Reader slot from the BIOS, Windows will start up with no problems and if it was ENABLED, then it freezes on the green bar.

I have formatted and have done a clean install. I have tried older versions of BIOS and still having the same problem.

Can someone help me fix this issue?

    Thanks

    Changed drivers?
    Try diagnostic startup first...
If it boots it is most likely a drivers issue....

The card reader is attached as a USB device so you should not have any major issues with it. When it is freezing do you have any card in the slot? If so try removing this. You could always try disabling the device and then when Vista has loaded uninstall all drivers / software related to the card reader and reboot. Reboot again but this time enable the card reader. Windows should automatically install drivers for the SD/MMC part of the reader and fail to install drivers for the Sony MS side.

If this still does not work then you may have a fault with the card reader / motherboard.
