    Hi...

On my invoice is says that

    Display: 13.3in WXGA (1280x800) - White-LED Display with TrueLife (thinner & brighter)
Camera: Integrated 2.0 Mega Pixel Camera with Facial Recongnition Software (Software install, no media)

Shouldn't it be CCFL = 2.0 and WLED = 1.3 or am I missing something?

If Dell has made a big mistake like this, should I then take advantage of the situation and demand compensation, because "I thought" it really was a 2.0 webcam and not a 1.3 installed in my laptop.

Hmm... dell does only offers the LED with 1.3MP and LCD with 2.0

Edge-to-Edge 13.3" HD WXGA LCD with 2.0 Megapixel Camera [Included in Price]
Edge-to-Edge 13.3" HD WXGA Slim WLED LCD with 1.3 Megapixel Camera [add $125 or $4/month1]
    Dell Recommended

It must be an error. Either call dell and ask, or when the order arrives try to find out if you really have the LED screen and 2.0MP camera ;)

I already have the laptop, how thick should the CCFL/LED screen be? And how can I check which camera I got? I did a clean install of windows, so I don't have webcam manager anymore + facial software.

That's a good question...I'm not sure how you can find out unless you take it appart and look at the led/lcd itself and find out.
I have the LED and I can tell it's LED from how it looks. Also it's just a teensy bit over 1/4" thick.

I had the same error on my invoice said WLED with 2.0 Megapixel. One way to check is to load up the webcam and see what the your highest picture resolution is.

    Mine was 1280x1024 = 1310720 pixels = 1.3mp

Which program did you use to take the picture? I don't got the Webcam Manager program after I did a clean install of windows.

To find out if you have the LED display:

Right click on my computer and select properties. Click on device manager.
Expand Monitor, right click on the monitor and go to properties.

Go to the details tab and select Hardware Ids from the dropdown list. If you see LGD0145, then you have the LED.

Oh cool! My 1330 had that same Samsung LED display. I didn't know Dell was also using those same LED's in the sxps 1340's. Good to know.
