I currently have no sound coming out of my M1530 speakers most of the time, sometimes sound comes out of the speakers, but it is very quite, also, when I poke on of them, it gets louder but it distorted and very crackly. :(

I'm not totaly stupid, i've checked all the sound options, I just can't figure out what it is. The mic still works perfectly and so does the headphone jack.

    Any ideas? Please help.

The speakers are blown..........simple as that. Your going to either need to deal with it or have a tech come out and replace them for you.

The sound comes on rarely for like 5mins. Where both speakers work fine? Are you sure they're just dead? Could it not be a lose connection or something?

    Hey there!

You can check it....but it sounds like it is going to be an intermittent issue :(...

If you are still w/in your 1 year warranty...you may want to call Dell to have it it fixed...

    ;) :)

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, you're probably right. Just to check, does anyone have a link to a dissasembly guide for a M1530? Or can quickly tell me how to get to the speakers?

    Cheers!
