    Hi,

I have a Dell XPS M1530 with a T9300 processor, 6 gigs RAM, Vista 64-bit Home Premium and a Slot Load Blu-Ray drive. Have used the drive to burn very large amounts of data onto BD discs without a problem. However I notice say I burn a .mkv file onto DVD media and watch it in VLC player; after about 13 minutes the video freezes, the drive and Windows hangs and I am forced to do a hard shutdown of Windows. Watching the same files either locally or from a thumb drive, no problem at all. Other than this issue, Vista is very stable on this machine. Could this be a) a hardware problem with the Blu-Ray drive b) a driver problem with the Blu-Ray drive c) a Windows Vista x64 issue d) a problem with the DVD media I burned the files to e) none of the above; something else.

Thanks in advance for your feedback!
