Was using Google Earth Pro and the screen blanked out for a second before being restored. The error was as below
"Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered."
The references to this error seem to infer that the GPU is close to death, and the error will get progressively worse. Anyone else had this error and survived? I've had the laptop less than 4 weeks.
I'm really not keen on getting the laptop replaced and possibly ending up with a poorer display i.e. more screen bleed.

I don't think the card is "about to die" from that ^ error.
The driver can stop working for many reasons. What driver version do you have? Try updating your drivers and see if it helps. -
-
try the latest official from windows update (or Dell); it should be dated by only a month at this point.

I got that same symptom then my gpu died later.

The nvlddmkm.sys error is usually just driver issue.
but if it persists even though youve changed your drivers many times.. then your GPU is dying. -
