Just wanted to share the joy :)

Went through hell and high water to get here. First impressions= Magnificent.

Very robust and flashy! Beautiful screen, no hard disk noise, sloat load DVD is quieter than I imagined. The only flaw I have found is that I have an uneven base, however it doesn't affect my typing, it's only when I deliberately push down that it rocks :)

I might do a mini review later, but right now I'm going to install the latest drivers :)

Im thinking of ordering that same lappy. Does it run everything smoothly? Would you have upgraded anything else in it?

Mine randomly decided to be uneven at the base one day, so i picked it up with the screen open and pulled down on the corner which was rocking (bottom right) and also pulled down on the opposite diagonal (top left) at the same time and this cured it :).

Beautiful screen... Does this mean that your 1440x900 display was an LG? Curious since I have one "In Production" same as yours (non-red).
    Thanks!

Check both your headphone jacks using the creative ear buds supplied. Are they both completely silent or do you get static and/or buzzing/wining etc? Try the headphones in both jacks when using a usb mouse in either of the left side usb ports....
