Hey guys I just got my M1530 about an hour ago but I can't figure something out.
How do you limit the battery so it will only charge up to a certain percentage? I read on here that there is a way, I just can't find it. Thanks!

Why would you want to limit the batterys chargiing capacity?

extend the overall life of the battery

There is no such thing.
-
Take it out when it gets to the percent you want
-
Yeah I asked about the exact same thing and it appears that our laptops don't have that feature whereas I know the Sony Vaio SZ's do.

it wouldnt do much to the overall battery life i dont think. I donno if its the same type of batteries but ppl used to tell me that if i only charge up to 80% every time it will eventually think that the 80% is 100% or wateva.

Wouldn't not using, for example, 20% of the battery degrade that much of the battery? Batteries degrade from the moment they are made to the moment you use them.
Just a theory... -
yes they degrade from they moment they are manufactured. But if stored at 40% at room temperature, they lose only 2% of their whole life over a year. But at 100% they lose 20% of their life over a year. Check it out at battery university online and read up on the lithium ion battery chemistry.
