Hey Its been a while!!
In first year of college now, lots of work !
Was just wondering, would it be harmful/life-draining if I kept the charger plugged into my laptop all night even though its at 100%? Like, just keep the laptop turned on, and keep the charger plugged in? will it still charge the battery even though it would be at 100%, or would it simply provide power to the laptop through the outlet?
I'd like to keep it on as a desktop, would that be ok? I do not want the battery life to be decreased...and I will turn off the laptop time to time to cool off etc.

^^^yup I do that always.........it's actually worse if you use the battery charge and use and charge...cuz it eats up cycles and that's how the battery works...it works for a number of cycles and then starts to deteriorate.
and I did it on my Inspiron 5100....battery lasted 5 1/2 years
then the power supply got busted and killed my battery too -
