So the highest brightness is way to high and the second to highest is too dark. Is there a way to get an increment in between? I tried custom power settings where it lets you choose an exact percent, but it just rounds off and conforms to the pre-built brightness increments of 10%. This one my eyes would appreciate, thanks mates.

Windows 7 was able to override my BIOS brightness settings on my E6400. It was able to take the screen brightness below the lowest BIOS settings, though it was really pretty finicky. Your mileage may vary with the M1330; it may or may not be worth a try.
