I know it's been asked before but I can't seem to get a straight answer anywhere. Does anyone have a laptop cooler for the M1530 (fitted with a 9cell battery) that they would highly recommend? I've seen good reviews for both the NC1000 and NC2000, but I know that the 2000 is made for larger laptops. Are there any new coolers that have come out recently etc?

    Thanks

I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. (It takes a lot of time for stuff to reach easter europe when shipped from Hong Kong :D ) but i'm gonna review it when it arrives and write about it here.

this is not spam - i'm just saying that if nobody else answers u can check again in like 2 weeks when i'll probably have written a review for my cooler.

eximus, i have tried some notebook coolers with no luck, due to the 9 cell battery, on some, my laptop doesnt fit, on some it just blocks the airway, and on some it gives a very unconfortable raise because of the 9 cell batt... i have ordered an external fan that attaches to the exhaust, here is a link:
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000S52W6M

i hope it fits because the vents have a round shape and the screen actualy cuts in in front of the exhaust, so il see when i get it (20 days and still not shipped... sheesh)

Can I remove the 9cell? Will it work straight from the adapter? I've never tried it, I'm afraid of hurting my baby :p *strokes M1530*

heheh, yes it will work without the battery, but if you accidentaly unplug it, its bye bye unsaved excel document :D , naa, you wont have a problem without the battery, the only issue i found was that the laptop iself needs a bettery to stand straight, if not it will be wobbly, since the battery has the fourth foot :S

    yep
u can even remove the battery while your baby is on

i wait for my battery to charge up and then i remove it and stay on adapter power only
it actually helps you preserve your battery life

well i had a few accidental shutdowns but i'm careful now
and right now i tweaked vista so that the hard drive works faster but i have a huge chance of data corruption if i accidently unplug the laptop (no battery right now)

i hope this fan is gonna make a difference since its 1 big fan and not a few small ones
