When the laptop is unplugged, the display darkens to save battery power but it's too hard to see the screen. I went to the Power Options in the control panel and adjusted the display brightness to 100% when on the battery but it did not change. Are there any other ways to possibly change the brightness? Thanks!

Hold the FN key and press up and down on the directional keys on the bottom right of your laptop. It will adjust the brightness.

I tried that and it did get brighter, but still not as bright as it is when it's plugged in.

You can edit the power modes to increase the brightness.
Select a "power plan" then "change plan settings."
