Well, I'm not exactly sure if it's in "sleep" or not, but when I leave it unattended overnight, I can't get it to come back. Also, it will sometimes show my bios and my boot loader after coming out of sleep, which means it shutdown for some reason. Have there been any known and currently unresolved issue's with the M1530 sleep?

    Hey Ole Man,
I also had the same problem but my problem occured whenever I closed the lid or the computer when to sleep. After spending two hours with a Dell Technician, we tried installing the video drivers and troubleshooting options, he informed me that the problem could be in the OS. I was surprised when he said this and so I waited a week and I reinstalled the OS and now, I dont that problem anymore. But this should be your last resort and make sure you back up your data as well. Good Luck and let me know how it goes.

Firstly, do you know which Nvidia drivers you are using?

I had the very same problem you have, and I discovered it was because I was using modified drivers (not meant for laptops) from Laptopvideo2go.

I have since discovered that when using graphics drivers from Dell's website, or the notebook drivers from Nvidia's website, that the sleep function will work perfectly.

Some of the newer drivers on Laptopvideo2go (180 onwards) will work with the sleep function, but I do not know which ones.

Unless there is a specific reason not to, I would say install the drivers from the Nvidia site, they are working fine for me.

    Hope this helps :)
