    Hello,
I have just gotten around to buying a HDMI cable for my Laptop and HD TV, and i just hooked it up all up, and i have a video output, but i didn't get any audio output through the TV, is there actually any way to use my TV speakers for Audio output or not?

I also have a few more questions, my TV has a resolution of 1680x1050 but i can only find a way to have the TV output in my desktop one of 1440x900, is there a way to up this?

Is there anyway to have my TV as the main display and the notebook screen turn off too?

Fn plus the F8 key will select your monitors.

Go to the start menu and type in sound (or go to the control panel) when the two come up you should have a choice between the speakers and the HDMI, select HDMI and set it to default. Voila.

Thank you for the help, that is great. **** HD movies are going to be so better to watch on my 22" TV instead of on this 15.4" display now.
