Hey there I didnt bother looking at my pc's performance with x86 I just formatted straight away and installed x64...

Ive noticed that since installing SP1 its been better and more responsive as in it doesnt disconnect randomly as much. The wireless network im connecting to is the one in the room next to mine. My MacBook could stay connected even when I was in the garden.

As I walk down my staircase the wireless just cuts off but shows over 80% strong signal to my network... :(

Is this an issue with the Intel WiFi card in M1530's in general? Is it my card? or could it be x64 being installed thats the problem....

Ive only had it since yesturday so I wouldnt mind going back to x86 but the 3.5GB bugs me because I paid for 4GB. Everything else works fine!!

Oh ive only ever connected to my network which is a Bekin router so itcould be just my router too right?

    Thanks!!

Are you testing this under Balanced or Power Saver profiles?

If you go into the advanced option for both, there should be options for the transmit power while plugged in and while on battery. I have the Dell (Broadcom) wireless card, so it could be different. But something to check none the less.
