I got a new M1530 xps about a month ago.

The other day my keyboard starts typing extra letters after i'm using it for awhile and i have no idea why. For most keystrokes, it types the letter i press and usually the letter above it in addition to it. It does this for all the lettes in the top two rows of lettes excluding the middle ones like "h,g,t,y".

It's really strange and is preventing me from really using my laptop. Can anyone help me out?

Alright, so after leaving my laptop alone for a few days, I decide to boot it back up and give it a go. I haven't touched it since the night my keyboard went haywire.

Today, however, my keyboard is responsive and working perfectly normal. What should I do to prevent future malfunctions, because that could be seriously bad if it happens while in class or something at college. Should I just call dell?

    Any suggestions?

I would call dell and have someone come over and replace the keyboard or reseat the connector. You could do it yourself if you know how to. It is fairly simple on the M1330 to remove the keyboard and reconnect it.
