Hello I'm having a bit of a dilemma: should I replace my LG Philips screen with an AU Optronics one?

    Back story first:
My original screen was an LG Philips LPL0301 - Dell P/N: NU763 (1280x800 - WXGA). I accidentally broke it (cracked from top to bottom) and decided to buy one from what seemed to be a decent site. I searched for it by the Dell part number (NU763) and was advertised as such on the site.

When I received it, I noticed they sent me a screen with a different brand name: AU Optronics! Based on the screen size I'm guessing it's an AU Optronics AUO2374 - Dell P/N: C931C. I contacted the site's support department about the inconsistency and informing them they sent me the wrong LCD screen based on the Dell P/N and got a reply from someone speaking broken english (appears to be chinese) telling me that they sell OEM products and that the brand name doesn't matter (EVEN though different LCD screen brands have different Dell P/Ns lol).

Now my dilemma: should I waste my time trying to convince them they did send me the wrong one, have to pay for more shipping costs to return and have the right one sent to me, etc. Or is the Optronics screen decent enough to replace my old LG Philips screen. I've read in these forums that the Samsung screens were a complete POS but I've haven't read much about the Optronics screens. Why don't I simply install the new screen and give it a try? Because they sent me the screen without an inverter board and I dont know if I can use the same inverter board from my old screen for the new one, is it compatible/won't cause any problems?

    *edit*

If the AUO display is anything like the one in the Studio 15, then it's at least on par with, if not better than, the LG-Philips panel. With the Studio 15 displays, AUO and LG-Philips are god-tier, and Samsung (of course, the one I get) is basically crap.
