Wiped drive and did a clean install on this system as per previous thread. Have worked out all the problems except one. When ever I start the computer it gets to a screen that says there is a problem with the operating system and to insert the Original operating system disk to repair. I do this and "repair the system". Everything then works great except when I turn it off and go to restart I get the same message. Any idea why it won't recognize the boot for the Vista and doesn't seem to repair it properly. I have 2 partitions. One for Media Direct and one for the Vista OS. Any help would be greatly appreciated otherwise I have to call the Dell helpless desk which I really don't want to do. I am to the point that I am still within my 21 days that I want to return it for a refund just do to this problem. Recieved the system on Oct 15 of this year. This has been happening from day one which is ione of the reasons I went for a clean install. Now I don't even have the original factory image.
Otherwise I really like this system.

hmm if you have removed MD from the Disk then you need to repair the MBR and Bootloader , also never ever press the MD Button :D

Reinstalled Media direct as directed on the Bloatware removal thread. All the steps ran as advertised. Why should I never use the MD button?

thats is if you have removed MD because after the removal of MD , when you press the MD Button it will overwrite the MBR with its own , thus making Vista not bootable :D

Got the problem fixed. Just for the heck of it I started Media Direct from the turned off condition. Let it fully load and loaded a video. After that I shut down the computer and restarted it and all is well. Looks like I had to start the Media Direct in order for the system to recognize the Vista operating system as I understand they are two different OS. Thank you vinumsv for the lead in the right direction.
