Hi I'm currently triple booting Vista, Media Direct and Ubuntu on an XPS M1530

But I see no use for Media Direct as I'll probably get the same batter life out of Vista, so I'm wondering how would I go about uninstalling it? Do I just delete the partition and edit GRUB. Or is there something else.

Also how will this effect the MD button. I've heard about problems with the laptop if MD is uninstalled and you press the button.

    Thanks.

i think media direct is merged into windows, it uses some of its components, the only way would be deleting vista and re-installing without media direct, but why would you want to erase it ? if you dont use it then leave it there, there is no point on screwing up your computer just by trying to delete media direct...

so think about it, do you really want to ?
