    Hey folks,

    I'm new to the forum.

I just ordered a new M1530 with WSXGA and I read about samsung/LG. Impression I got is that LG WSXGA is now used for latest orders starting end of april 08. can anybody confirm that?

    Thanks!

What about WUXGA. Any issues with it? or it's only on WSXGA?

    Thanks again.

WUXGAs are all Samsung and there have been graininess issues with a few of them. The most popular resolution is the 1680, which new shipments after April 28th are mostly LG anyways.

So the 1680x1050s are LG after the 28th of April? How can you confirm this? (This would be great news...)

No they are not all LG. There`s really no way to confirm they all are LG. It`s not like all buyers come here to le us kow which screen they got and I sure would not trust technical support if they said all wsxga+ screen are now LG.

Yeah, I thought that'd be an unreasonable claim. I don't even know why I'm worrying about this yet - I don't even have a bad laptop. It'll just be a nervous three weeks 'til I get it.

Don`t think about it. When you get it see what the screen looks like and if you`re happy just move on.

    Good luck.
