Just formated my XPS M1530 and installed Windows XP on it since I found Vista slowing it down massively.
I started off with installing the graphic drivers, then the chipset driver (Graph from Nvidia.com and chipset from dell.com support site). Then I installed the audio drivers and they didnt work. It just says *this device isnt working properly*
those were the Vista drivers that Dell recommended but I tried the drivers for XP as well and they give me the same problem.
Saw in some thread some guy talking about a patch needed to be installed before you installed the sound drivers, but he didnt specify where and Ive tried searching alot of threads.

Try this driver instead. Might work.

No it says *This is not the correct audio driver for this system*. Probably because its for Vista and im running XP.
-
My bad. Try these instead. Hope I'm right this time

M1530 isnt listed in the compability list but Ill try em out.
Edit> They worked out nice! Thanks alot!

No problem
Did take me quite a while to find all the drivers when I tested out XP ages ago~

I ended up the first time, putting the drivers in through the add new hardware wizard, then going and running the installer.
