    Hi guys,

I roughly remember that my by default, my M1530 use to start out in high performance mode when plugged in, and would automatically change to power saver mode when running on batteries. For some reason now, it will always start out being set to power saver mode despite being plugged in to AC power or if running on batteries.

Is there a way to change this back? I would prefer it to be always automatically set to high performance when running on AC power and automatically on power saver when on batteries.

    Thanks guys

Click on your Battery icon on bottom right next to clock and you can select the power plan. There is Balanced, High Performance, and Power Saver. Try actually shutting down and restarting after selecting High Performance.

If that doesn't work, it might be because sleep mode throws things off sometimes. So you might want to change what Closing the Lid does.

First off, I agree wholeheartedly with what Forte just suggested...

Secondly, (and this is completely off topic) your picture reminded me of the picture below. LOL

hmm, i just tried that still no luck. Even if I change it to performance mode and then shut down my computer, it will always start up in power saver mode. Right now I have closing my lid as shut down. I tried changing it to "do nothing" but it still always starts out in power saver =/
