    Hi guys..

    i am on 8600gm and running a custom driver from laptopvideo2go forum...

    i just want to know the following..


    which is the best driver at present ? for 8600 GM (vista 32 )

    what is the best / safe OC value ?

    My temp reach upto 83-88 , before it never went beyond 83 .. yesterday my motherboard was replaced due to some problem.., they didnt apply thermal paste ... could that be it ??

    where do i change the fan speed... i just want to speed i up or say run always.. i dont care whether it reduces my battery time...

    please help me guys...

    Best driver - 185.66

    OC - value -> specific to your particular gpu.

    "didnt apply thermal paste" If they didn't, REPORT it, or at least apply some yourself.
    If you don't, you will quite possibly destroy the card.

    also one more question...

    At those temperatures the laptop fan should already be at full speed.

    And if they didn't apply thermal paste, call them NOW and demand that they fix it. And don't use the laptop until they fix it.

    i cant find the fan control in riva tuner..

    is there a way to make it run full sppeeed just to tweak... u know..

    Ive tested all of the alot of the drivers and the best for me so far has been Dox's 185.68

    As of now, you are unable to control the fans with any program. I believe dell has it completely locked in the bios due to overheating issues.

    185.68 made my gpu a little hotter..

    anyway will tryto clean instal....
