    Hi!

So I have an Xps 1530 on its way to my house! I ordered it about last week, and according to Dell's website the estimated ship date is 7/24.
Earlier today a man from Dell ( of Indian Origination [ Not that it should matter] ) called me on the phone. I had never spoke to this representative before in my life. He assured me that he was from the processing department and had expedited my order and that it would be shipping in 2-3 days!!!! I was in utter disbelief. After reading what must have been 2,000 NBR posts about XPS delayed ship dates, my exhilaration turned to a virulent suspicion. This is too good to be true right!?
When I asked if i could check the progress on the internet he told me that they would not update the Estimated Shipping time. He told me that he would contact me after it has been shipped. Is this possible? or did some guy hack into the system and single target me because my last happens to be skapegoat??

Give DELL a call and ask. That would clear things up.

Well the only thing that I know of that is on the delay list for the 1530 is the 9-Cell battery so maybe all your stuff just fell together right

I know they don't update the ship date if it does ship early. As long as he didn't want your SS number or something, you're good.
