Hey all,
So I'm having heat issues with my m1530...but that seems to be the norm.
So I've got a Dell tech coming out to replace the mobo & fan/ heatsink.
Do you guys know if the Dell tech will remove the old thermal paste, and use some AS5 (provided by me of course) instead of the crappy Dell thermal paste?
If not, when would be the best time for me to do it? Right away, or should I let the thermal paste set before I remove, and replace it?

the heatsink sometimes comes with little squares of dell thermal paste already pasted on the heatsink, ive had my heatsink replaced 2 times and that has always been the case.
What i recommend is that you let him put in your heatsink, use your computer, and then if you arent happy with your temperatures apply AS5, but i would give the stock paste a chance -
Just an update. The tech came out yesterday, and replaced my mobo & fan. Seems to be running a lot cooler. Did some gaming, and the GPU barely broke 80 and the CPU's never went above 70. So I'm happy...as long as this keeps up.
M1530 is hot...
