    M1530 not detecting Several CD's

    Hi GUys ,

    I was able to get hold of CD version of x64bit vista (6 CDS) and i used xps to write them to CD and it did perfectly but its not reading the disc properly and i have also tried to boot using the same CD but failed :( , i tried same cd in my friends computer it works perfectly ?

    Any Solution ??

    did you set BIOS to boot from CD 1st?

    Yes , Still i am facing the same issue :( i tried both in Vista and Ubuntu both says the disk is empty but its not

    Confirm that you have the OPTIARC AD-7640A 8X 12.7 IDE slotload DVDRW. If so, install the latest firmware update Dell has posted (posted 8/19/08). LINK HERE

    No Mate , Mine is a TEAC DVD-RW DVW28SLC Drive
