Trying to decide which one would be a better choice.

Looking at about 4GB Ram, LED screen, 256 mb graphics and I havn't decided in the processor yet. As far as build quality / design while keeping price in mind I'm having problems deciding

The XPS 16...is not availi' yet!! You may want to hold off a bit. Since between the 2, the 1530 is your only option...If, you want to go that route between both :D

    Yup.... :D

Well i know its not out lol I was just wondering if you figured its worth waiting to find out if its better. I figure I might as well wait, but then again i heard that the studio xps is replacing the M1530 so that could be bad if it ends up being the better choice

i think it will be a better unit, but you might want to wait a bit for the discount on the 1530

But obviously it's going to be worth the wait.. Better hardware, for one.. And looks better too, IMO..
