    Hi all,

I've noticed that whenever I have music playing, and the screen saver comes on or off, the output sound stutters quickly, then goes back to normal. This also happens when I use alt F8 to connect a screen, and also when I press the eject button on the console. The dpc latency also goes through the roof at the same time.

I'm on Vista x64, but the same thing happened on x86. I use mediamonkey (WMPx64 does exactly the same), zoom player, vlc, and have CCCP and klcodecx64. I have the standard sound card and Sigmateld HDx64 driver.

Different nVidia drivers haven't made a difference. I've read that i can change the settings on Rivatubeer, but I don't overclock the GPU?

Not much a problem if this normal, but am curious- does everyone have this problem? Or does anyone have a solution (or know the cause of the problem)? (I've found that just pressing the eject button whilst music is playing is a good test... to see if this happens)

    Any advice appreciated!

I have had some odd sound output issues on mine as well. Not with the built in speakers, only when plugging in headphones or speakers to the output jacks. I'll hear like high pitched noises and stuff while opening programs and doing stuff...but then its fine when i play music.

Mine stutters when I eject a CD. It does not bother me to much.

Yeam, I'm pretty sure these issues are a normal occurrence on most computers. I get something like that when I close my lid (and it's not set to go to standby).

Lets say the line was, "My lovely legs;" my computer would play, "My ::closes lid:: *lalala*lovely legs."

Nvidia Powermizer downclocking the GPU also affect the sound. ItÂ’s really annoying when you watch video/music video. The video is smooth but the sound will be choppy. Dell 175.97 driver really suffer the most :(
