I am just about to get an M1530 in about an hour (before the 12 month no interest deal ends), and I am wondering If there was any reason not to buy one now, and if I should change any of the following specs.

Also I was wondering how to even use the "12 month no interest on XPS systems" deal. Do I have to create a Dell perfered account or something? I'm very confused.

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor (2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB, 2MB Cache)

Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium Edition SP1

    Tuxedo Black

    Microsoft Works

2Yr Ltd Hardware Warranty, InHome Service after Remote Diagnosis

    Full Hi Definition, glossy widescreen 15.4 inch LCD (1920x1200) & 2.0 M

4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz (2 Dimms)

Ultra Performance: 64GB Solid State Drive

Slot Load Blu -ray Disc (BD/DVD/CD read/write)

    256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GT

    Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N Mini-card

Dell Wireless 355 Bluetooth Internal (2.0+Enhanced Data Rate)

85 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery

ExpressCard Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio Sound Card

    Finger Print Reader XPS M1530

    McAfee SecurityCenter 15-months

Add Accidental Damage and LoJack Theft Protection to 2Yr Warr.

TOTAL: (after coupons but not including tax) $1470

Wow, an LED WUXGA? I wish my M1530 has that. :p

Are you going with this resolution (WUXGA) on both?

If you weren't to decide on price wise, I have the M1530 and it's just awesome. T8100 2.1GHz 4 gb ram. 32 bit. No problems. Runs fast! I forgot to click for the HI Def screen but I don't see any difference. I'm not a gamer so maybe there is a difference but I can't tell.

You have to apply for the dell credit card to get the promo.

Does it cost anything to apply?

And sorry but do you know what number to call if you are ordering a product over the phone?

Same specs, so I'd go with the M4400. I'm digging the black look, better audio speaker design, LED screen, and I rather have the regular drive than slot-load design. I have the M1530 and love it, but that's just me.

You have to apply for the Dell credit card. Make sure you have a credit history though. They denied me, so I had to use my brother's account. ;)

I don't know if this would change anything but I just realized that the M4400 would only be the same price without the SSD. Also its not only a LED... its an RGB LED! lol

Just my opinion, but I wouldn't rush to buy. Deals are only going to get better in the coming months, not worse.
