Whenever my M1530 goes to sleep or hibernating after idling for a certain amount of time, my computer will not return from sleep mode again after I press the power button. I have to hold the power button for 5 seconds in order to shut it down and turn it back on manually. Is there turn? I am new to the world of laptop =/

Window Vista 32 bit. Forgot to mention that the power light was still on, but the screen was off.

I am currently running a fresh formated M1530, so I don't think that should be the problem. =/ Shouldn't there be a hotkey that I should press if I am on hibernating mode? Whenever I press the power button, it will turn blue for like 5 seconds, then nothing happens afterward.

I'm not sure about the hotkey you are talking about... On my 1530, usually it comes back up right away when I lift the lid. In the case that it doesn't, all I need to do is just press the power button (without holding) and the screen comes right up.

Btw, I use Fn+ESC before I close the lid every time... could that be the reason?
