I'll admit I am a Linux noob and have only really experimented with Linux in virtual machines but I wanted to see if anyone has been able to single boot or dual boot the new opensuse 11.0 OS that just came out.

I can probably follow a guide or let the automatic installer do everything flawlessly but the only concern I can't seem to find an answer to is, how can I setup a single or dual boot environment w/o losing the dell utility partition?

My personal goal is to get Linux installed as a the sole OS on my M1530 and not lose that utility partition Dell has set up since I don't know if it's possible to recover that partition once it's gone.

Any help and personal experience is appreciated.
