Recently, I installed Windows XP Pro on a small partition. I used UDIs driver pack (which was very helpful) and the guide on these forums. I tried installing the ACHI drivers through the disc and then the lazy method. Neither of those worked. XP would not run unless the HDD was setup for ATA.

I just got my USB floppy drive off of eBay and tried installing the HDD ACHI drivers using the floppy method. I selected the drivers and it tried installing them. When it said that it was going to boot Windows, I got a BSOD. I restarted and I was prompted with a message saying something about an invalid disk.

Somehow or another I managed to get into Vista. It is running really slow and it boots up sort of weird (it's hard to explain, it just takes a while and pauses on a black screen).

In my setup, I currently have it set to ACHI and I've got the boot thing setup to be able to choose from Vista or XP. I can't do anything with XP, but Vista works.

I put in my XP disc to see if I could repair it, but I haven't found any options to do that.

What should I do? Am I going to have to reinstall XP on that partition in order to get it to be recognized?

    Thanks for your help!
