I have had my M1710 for almost a year now, and whenever I try to play a game(or most times) I get some graphic glitches, like the ones in the attached picture.
Does anybody know what could be causing this? I've updated drivers, rolled-back drivers and reinstalled drivers on my graphics card... Will I end up having to send it back to DELL?
EDIT: By the way, my graphics card is the nVidia GO 7950 GTX

There is a well known problem with nVidia cards failing. Contact Dell, because you need a GPU replacement.

I've a M1730. If my cards fail in 12 months time (when I'm out of warranty) what will Dell say? "Too bad buddy" / "Yes Sir, apologies, we'll replace those shortly!".
(I don't want Dell Fanboy / Anti-Dell responses, just experienced comments)

Here's my solution:
http://cid-7bb8e69e8aca8bf2.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/M1710%20Graphics%20Card
It cost about $60.00 USD in parts and took about 2 hours to put together.
It's basically a Laptop Desk with 2 fans mounted on the underside.
Super quiet and the Fans in my M1710 don't even turn on anymore.

Artifacting is a good indication of card issues (most likely failing). You have already tried the driver route with no joy.
You can:
1. Grab a compressed air canister and give it a good shot. Be sure to lock the fans down by inserting a paper clip between the blades though. This will prevent the fans from spinning at an unsafe RPM. When blasting it, blast from the rear exhaust grills as well as the bottom of the fans. Dust bunnies can lead to excessive heat and excessive heat can cause artifacting. Try this to rule out heat being the cause.
2. If you are still under warranty, do not delay and contact Dell ASAP. Get them on this issue and have them replace the GPU (or unit). Even though the 7900 and 7950 GTX cards were not recongnized by Dell as having an issue, if you are under warranty they have to replace it.
3. If you are out of warranty and want to salvage your M1710, start looking for a replacement GPU. As will all Dell units with a dedicated card (with the exception of the new M17x) you are limited as to which card you can replace it with. It must be compatible (meaning originally offered with your model). See my second post in this thread for places to start looking:
