Hey all. I've decided to do a refresh for my wife's m1710.
I had a spare mobo, a new set of speakers and subwoofer, a bdrw drive and a new 500 7200rpm hdd that i pulled from my alienware.
So, i did all the changes, booted, bios shows me the HDD correctly as 500GB but when i try to install windows on it it does not see it and asks me to load a driver for the chipset. Now, i know that windows 7 knows that chipset because i have previously installed it on a smaller drive w/o problems so what gives ?
Is it too big of a disk for the m1710 ?
