I have been having overheating issues with my m1710 so I printed off the disasembly instructions with the intention to clean out the notebook. Everything was going fine until I got to the keyboard only to find one of the screws was stripped!! I have never taken this notebook apart so it must have been stripped at the factory during initial assembly. What should I do? I have had this machine for just over a year so I think I am out of warranty. Any advice?

    Thanks

If it's stripped to the point where a philips head can't catch the notches, then you might want to try a square bit, but I not expecting you to have one small enough lying around so I would just try to call Dell; the worst case scenario would just be them telling you that they can't do it for free.
